Jennifer Gibson - Sport Nutritionist Services

Nutrition Education Sessions   (1.5 hours)

Education topics include but are not limited to:

  • Sport Nutrition 101: Daily Training and Recovery

  • Sport Nutrition for Competition

  • Nutrition for Travel and Touring Athletes

  • Sport Supplements for Athletes

  • Sport Nutrition for Coaches

  • Nutrition for Body Composition – weight loss and gain

Interactive Nutrition Workshops   (1/2 day)
  • Grocery Shopping Workshop: Tour a local grocery store and learn basic shopping and label reading skills + basic meal planning and budget strategies.

  • Meal Prep Basics: An interactive workshop where athletes learn how to prepare basic and nutritious meals and snacks.

  • Hydration Testing: Athlete sweat rates are monitored pre and post match or practice. Athlete is given specific hydration goals to work on and group presentation on hydration and results.

Individual Nutrition Support

Basic Nutrition Screen:

  • This includes an individual nutrition screening with recommendations & 1-3 follow up visits.

  • Nutrition areas include: eating for performance, hydration plans, basic healthy eating, optimizing nutrition for people with food allergies or food practices.

Intensive Nutrition Counseling Package:

  • This analysis is more intensive to help with specific physique goals such as weight/fat loss or lean mass/strength gains.

  • Includes detailed computerized diet analysis, body composition assessment, athlete specific meal plan/recommendations and intensive follow ups (6-12 weeks)

Meal Planning for Events:

  • Day by day nutrition action plan for competition incorporating food and vendors at the event.

Body Composition Assessment:

  • Using the ISAK protocol, a complete set of 8 skinfold and 4 girth measures in order to determine lean and fat mass measures is taken.

Meal Planning for Events

Tournament Menu Planning:

  • Coordination of appropriate menus and meal services for athletes/teams, working with tournament organizers/foodservices.

Nutrition Communications

Media and Related Communications:

  • Creating written fact sheets or nutrition education materials.

  • Nutrition communications (experience with print, radio, television and online communication mediums).
